Pay on Delivery (POD) Policy

Elite & Famous Marketplace

Pay on Delivery (POD) is offered to make shopping easier for customers who prefer to inspect selected items before making full payment. However, POD comes with responsibilities that customers must understand and respect.

This policy is designed to protect both the customer and Elite & Famous Marketplace.

1. POD Eligibility

  • Pay on Delivery is available only for selected Men’s Shoes and approved locations.
  • POD availability depends on product type, stock status, and delivery location.
  • Not all products qualify for POD.

2. Waybill Fee & Pickup Clarification (Important)

  • The ₦3,000 waybill fee paid upfront covers delivery to the pickup center in your city, not home delivery.
  • This fee helps confirm commitment and reduces failed deliveries.

Home Delivery Option

  • If you prefer home or office delivery, our local agent in your city will contact you to arrange it or you can speak to us during your order process.
  • Additional charges (if any) are discussed directly with the agent.

3. Availability Requirement (Read Carefully)

POD orders are processed only for customers who are sure of their availability.

👉 If you are unsure of your availability within the delivery period, please do not place a POD order yet.
👉 You may order only when you are available, or
👉 Ensure someone reliable can receive or pick up the item on your behalf.

Placing a POD order while unsure of availability causes losses and operational strain.

4. Pickup Timeline & Holding Period

  • Once your item arrives at the pickup center, you are notified immediately.
  • Pickup must be completed within 24 hours of arrival.
  • Items are not held indefinitely.

Delays beyond this period may lead to return processing.

5. Understanding Logistics Costs (Why This Matters)

Many customers assume the waybill fee covers all logistics. This is not correct.

Each POD order involves:

  • Dispatch from Lagos
  • Local handling and agent fees
  • Follow-ups and coordination
  • Return logistics if pickup fails

When a customer does not show up, Elite & Famous Marketplace incurs heavy additional costs, often more than the initial waybill fee paid.

Returned items are not free for us to retrieve.

6. Failed Pickup & Return Policy

If a customer:

  • Delays pickup repeatedly
  • Stops responding
  • Is unavailable without prior notice

The item will be returned automatically in line with logistics policy.

⚠️ Waybill fees already paid are non-refundable once dispatch has occurred.

7. Responsible Ordering Notice

Pay on Delivery is built on mutual trust.

If you:

  • Are not ready financially
  • Intend to “wait and see later”
  • May divert funds before delivery

Please do not place a POD order yet.

We encourage customers to order only when fully prepared to complete payment upon delivery.
